Objective: To evaluate the information of the recovery of the central consciousnessof corneal and tear film stability at different time after operation between thelaser-assisted subepithelial keratomileusis (LASEK) and Epipolis laser in situkeratomileus (Epi-LASIK). Methods:60cases (120eyes) with myopia patients wererandom divided into two groups, the recovery of the central consciousness of corneal andtear film stability were followed up for24weeks after operation by LASEK andEpi-LASIK and assessed with statistics analysis. Results: The corneal centralconsciousness were respectively (42.85±5.78)mm and (49.85±5.01)mm at2weeks,4weeks after operation by LASEK, it was significantly decreased than those in Epi-LASIK(48.36±6.22)mm and (52.66±5.86)mm at the same time (P﹤0.01). There were statisticaldifferences between the two groups(55.55±4.02)mm and (56.31±4.60)mm at12weeksafter operation(P﹤0.05).There were no statistical differences between the twogroups(57.31±3.11)mm and (57.62±2.68)mm at12weeks after operation (P﹥0.05).The research of the stability of the tear film showed that non-invasive break-uptime (NIBUT) was (6.88±2.32)s at2weeks (9.06±3.15)s at4weeks after operation byLASEK and the Epi-LASIK were respectively (7.46±1.56)s and (9.62±1.29)s at the sametime. There were statistical differences between the two groups (P﹤0.05). The NIBUTwas (11.21±5.13)s at12weeks,(13.03±4.65)s at24weeks after operation by LASEK andEpi-LASIK were respectively (12.06±0.98)s and (12.15±2.10)s at the same time. Therewere no statistical differences between the two groups (P﹥0.05). Conclusion: Irritativesymptoms were less serious,the recovery was faster and accessed to good visual quality in Epi-LASIK Than those in LASEK after operation and indicated that the recovery inEpi-LASIK was superior to those in LASEK.
