Objective: Analyze the actual effect of the clinical pathway(Clinical Pathway,CP)application,to explore the clinical management of scientific and rational mode.Continue toimprove health care quality, standardize the diagnosis and treatment behavior, improve theutilization of health resources and shorten the average length of stay, and ultimately toachieve the desired clinical effect. Methods: Collect the2009-2011implementation of theCP before and after diagnostic criteria and treatment programs in Xinjiang hospitals offour surgical disease. October2010September to2011, patients with CP managementmodel for the path group; patients with the same period of time not to enter the CPmanagement model for case classification group. September, October2009-2010patientsin the control group, and a comparative analysis of the path group. The research datacomes from the basis of the original data in the sample of hospital HIS system databaseand CP implementation process. Results:1) abdominal cholecystectomy planned cesareansection average days of hospitalization path group is less than the control group (P<0.05);hospital total cost of the path than the control group (P<0.05) differences werestatistically significant;abdominal cholecystectomy, planned cesarean section length ofhospital stay and hospital costs pathway group and case classification group, thedifference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Uterine fibroids hospitalized total cost ofthe path group than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).4knee arthroplasty hospital costs and length of stay pathway group and control groupshowed no statistically significant (P>0.05).5.4surgical disease, the CP into the diameterrate of less than30%.Conclusion:In this study, four surgical disease in the medicalenvironment, the rapid growth of medical costs, through the implementation of the clinicalpathway to reduce the average number of days of hospitalization, to avoid the rapidgrowth of drug costs.
