Objective: Through to the uighurs and han nationality optic canal related imagingmeasurement, to provide the anatomical basis for the nasal endoscopic butterfly into opticcanal decompression road line. Methods: On20normal countrymen (each uighurs andhan are10)40optic canals CT scanning and3d reconstruction, measuring the length ofoptic canal’s each wall, the vertical diameter and transverse diameter of orbital openningand cranial openning and making the statistical analysis.Results: The length of uighurs’canal wall was (9.90±1.69mm),(9.29±1.99mm),(11.1±1.89mm),(8.74±1.81mm) inexternal,superior, internal and inferior walls respectively. The length of han nationality’sthe canal wall was (10.27±1.22mm),(10.20±1.67mm),(12.03±1.07mm),(10.05±0.98mm)in external,superior, internal and inferior walls respectively. The length of uighurs’transverse diameter was (3.58±0.56mm),(4.82±1.04mm) in orbital openning and cranialopenning respectively. The length of han nationality’s transverse diameter was(3.63±0.40mm),(4.52±0.60mm) in orbital openning and cranial openning respectively.Thelength of uighurs’vertical diameter was (4.69±0.70mm),(3.32±0.75mm) in orbitalopenning and cranial openning respectively.The length of han nationality’s verticaldiameter was (4.42±1.03mm),(3.24±0.73mm) in orbital openning and cranial openningrespectively.The uighurs and han nationality’s an angle formed by the axis of optic canaland midsagittal plane of skull was(31.73±2.76o)and(28.30±2.24o).Conclusion: There is nostatistical difference between uighurs and han nationality about measuring index imagingof optic canal.The above results to optic canal offers extensive relevant anatomy material,to provide the anatomical basis for the nasal endoscopic butterfly into optic canaldecompression.
