| Objective To discuss the clinical features and experience of diagnose andtreatment of primarily testiclulay tumors.Method To review the clinical data of47cases with primarily testiclulaytumors retrospectively, whom were hospitalized in our hospital from January,2003to December,2011. age, pathology, clinical characteristic, ultrasonicinspection, serum AFP examination, treatment and prognosis were reviewedrespectively. Chi-square test and Kaplan-Meier were used as the statisticalmethod and there was a "statistical" difference when P<0.05.Result47cases of primarily testiclulay tumors were included in our study, the age ranges from6days to13years. There was no significant difference (P>0.05) between left side and right side of benign and malignant primarilytesticlulay tumors, bilateral testicular cancer was very rare. The level of serum AFP was significantly higher in malignant primary testicular cancer in children(P <0.05). There was significant difference in the nature of the massexamined by ultrasound between benign and malignant primarily testiclulaytumors (P <0.05).7mature teratomas of all11benign testicular tumors werefollowed up post-operation,which were alive till now.31patients were yolk sactumor, which were all the yolk sac tumor and26cases were followed up.Conclusion1. Pediatric primarily testiclulay tumors were rare, and therewas a peak of onset in the children before three years old. Their main clinicalperformance were painless scrotal mass, unilateral onset, there was nosignificant difference between left side and right side, bilateral testicular cancerwas few.2. The level of serum AFP and the ultrasonic inspection were veryimportant for the identification of benign and malignant pediatric primarilytesticlulay tumors, the evaluation of the tumor stages, and estimation of themetastasis and recurrence.3. The most common type of pediatric primarilytesticlulay tumors is the yolk sac tumor, and the second is teratoma.4. Matureteratoma do keep testicular cancer eliminate art is meaningful.5. For stage I yolksac tumor, radical inguinal orchiectomy is effective, salvage chemotherapy ispromising. |
