| Objective:This study aims to observe the curative effect and security of pi zhen therapy on the treatment of myofascitis of the lumbar region,to explore convenient and effective method.Methods:40qualified patients from Orthopedic ward of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were rolled in study,20qualified Random patients in the therapeutic(pi zhen therapy)group and20patients in the control (intermediate-low frequency therapy) group.Pi zhen therapy was applied in the therapeutic group,one treatment for every week,2times a case,and one case for each patient.Intermediate-low frequency therapy was applied in the control group,one treatment for every20minutes per day,2weeks a case,and one case for each patient.All patients were scored via Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and biomechanical measurement of tension(BMT)before and after the treatment,to explore the qualitative and quantitative detections.Both groups were evaluated the clinical effect by filling in the scales after a period treatment,then the datum were collected and analysed with the statistical software of spss16.0.Results:There was no statistical significance(p>0.05)in the general datum(include sex,age,period,each observation index)between two groups by means of statistical analysis with T test and Chi-square test.Compare of the total curative effect between the two groups:the total effective rate of the therapeutic group was100%,while the control group was90%;there was statistical significance(p<0.01)of their total curative effect after statistical analysis with Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test. Through comparing the two groups of patients’scores,which were via Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and biomechanical measurement of tension(BMT) afte the treatment(P<0.01).This clinical study has not occurred any adverse reaction and safety accident,and all patients followed up for one month have not found significant sequel.Conclusions:Both of the two groups were valid in improving the clinical symptoms of the patients suffering from myofascitis of the lumbar region.And the therapeutic group was superior to the control group. |
