Objective To observe the effect of ear acupoint magnetic bead press therapy on assistant sedation involved in patients in face of patient-ventilator asynchrony during mechanical ventilation and explore the assistant sedative effect of ear acupoint magnetic bead press therapy on patient-ventilator asychrony patients.Method60patient-ventilator asynchrony patients treated with tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation for the first time were randomly assigned to the control group or the experimental group with30patients each. The control group patients were given intravenous injection of midazolam, the experimental group petients were given midazolam and ear acupoint magnetic bead press therapy simultaneously. The speed of intravenous injection of midazolam was adjusted by to maintain the Riker Sedation-Agitation Scale(SAS) between3and4of patients of the two groups. We record and analyzed the changes of vital signs、 arterial blood gas、serum cortisol、blood glucose at different time points during72h as well as the total dose of midazolam and adverse reaction within72h.Result1. electrocardio-monitoring indexThe experimental group compared to control group, there were significant difference at the time points(24h,48h,72h) in the value of RR(P<0.01),as well as at the time points(48h,72h) in the values of HR、SBP(P<0.05), the value of, there were no significant difference in the values of DBP、SPO2at each time point observed during sedation(P>0.05).2. Arterial blood gasThere were significant difference at the time points(48h,72h) in the values of PaCO2(P<0.05or P<0.01) between the two groups, there were no significant difference in the values of PaO2、CaO2、SaO2at each time point observed during sedation(P>0.05).3. Serum cortisolThere were significant difference at the time points(48h,72h) in the values of serum cortisol between the two groups(P<0.05), there was no significant difference in the values of Cor at the time points(0h,2h,8h,24h). 4. Blood glucosethere was no significant difference in the values of average blood glucose on the first day (P>0.05),There were significant difference on the second day and the third day in the value of average blood glucose(P<0.01).5.Dose of midazolamThe total dose used in72h of the control group and experimental group were (306.9±14.35)mg versus (301.1±15.02)mg separately, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion1.Ear acupoint magnetic bead press therapy decreases the RR、HR、SBP、 PaCO2、serum cortisol and blood glucose of patients with patient-ventilator asynchrony during mechanical ventilation significantly, improves hypoxia state, alleviate the stress reaction.2. Ear acupoint magnetic bead press therapy has a certain sedative effect, then enhance synchrony of patient-ventilator with mechanical ventilation.
