Research On Characteristics Of Eye Movement Of Special Groups When Reading Chinese Text

Reading is an important cognitive activities in Daily life and learning, at the same time it is also a kind of complex visual activity.Recent research found that amblyopia have reading difficulty.In2010, Kanonidou firstly used the eye movement method studied adult strabismus amblyopic reading eye movement characteristics. The results show that strabismus amblyopic reading eye movement model poor than normal. This eye movement research based on alphabet writing reading material. But, reading eye movement research for Chinese reading, and the degree of amblyopia have not been reported.This paper selected amblyopia as the research object,used the eye movement experiment method to analysis the eye movement datas of amblyopia reading chinese text in order to investigate eye movement model difference between amblyopia and normal subjects.The results of this study in hope to provide help for the diagnosis treatment of amblyopia and Chinese reading teaching of amblyopia groups.The main content of this article have the following several parts:1. This paper reviewed the eye movement characteristics in the process of reading,the domestic and foreign research about amblyopia reading. And on that basis, put this research main contents and the overall framework.2. According to to previous reading eye movement experiment and different people reading level of amblyopia, this study design for two eye movement experiment about the Chinese reading. The first experiment selected adult amblyopia as the research object.the second experiment selected children amblyopia as the research object. There are23adults and16 children involved in this experiment.and statistical analyse their eye movement data.3. The experimental data show that for Chinese reading,whether adults or children,their eye movement models are worse than normal, their reading speed is significantly lower than normal, the fixation duration is longer during binocular reading,but the fixation counts is similar between ambyopia and normal group. Besides,the eye movement characteristics of amblyopia is relevant to the degree of amblyopia. During binocular reading, the deeper the degree of amblyopia, the greater the difference of the fixation counts between the nonambly eye and amblyopic eye.
