Background and objective:Hypertension is a common chronic disease, and is also the mostimportant risk factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease。Ithas many complications, such as cerebral stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure and chronic kidney disease and so on. Lowering bloodpressure in hypertensive patients can significantly reduce the stroke andcardiovascular events and improve patients’ quality of life. Iptakalimhydrochloride (Ipt) is China’s own design of new type of KATP channelopeners, Has Not Been in clinical applications. This study evaluate theantihypertensive effects and safety of Ipt by comparing antihypertensiveeffects of before and after treatment。QT dispersion(QTd):The difference between the longest QT intervaland the shortest QT interval of12lead synchronous recordings of thesurface EKG。Application of surface electrocardiogram for determinationof QTd was put forward by by Campbell and others in1985,Day andothers confirmed that it has important clinical value for the first time in1990,and thereafter many scientists have reported relationship betweenQTd and various clinical conditions. At present, many scientists believethat increase of QTd is the performance of inhomogeneity of ventricular muscle, while the maximum value of QT is in the lesionregion, such inhomogeneity of regional repolarization can produce themajority of reentry very easily and represents instability of ventricularmuscle.Iptakalim hydrochloride is a KATP channel opener, there is nonereport on its influence on QTd in the literature. The purpose of this studyis to investigate Iptakalim hydrochloride’s Antihypertensive effect andinfluence on QT interval of patients with hypertension, at the same timeclarify Iptakalim hydrochloride’s Antihypertensive effect and influenceon QT interval. Methods:DO randomised double-blind study on27patients with hypertension who were selected. Patients who were selected were given the medicine treatment for8weeks after a washout treatment period of2weeksThe total efficiency of lowering blood pressure by Ipt was77.78%.After treatment,SBP and DBP were significantly decreased (P <0.01) compared with before treatment, but QT dispersion (QTd) didn’t have significant statistical difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:Ipt has obvious antihypertensive effect, but don’t have obvious effects on QT dispersion.
