| Aim:To probe the allele frequencies and genotype distribution of E-selectin gene S128R Polymorphism in Han patients with type2diabetic nephropathy in the northern of GuangXi province and correlation between the genotype and type2diabetic nephropathy. To study the genotype influence of Fasting blood glucose, blood lipids, serum creatinine in type2diabetes.Methods:With Case-Control study method, we collected205cases of type2diabetic nephropathy patients and198cases of normal control group (age and gender were matched and the Han patients were in the northern of Guangxi provience). PCR-RFLP and Gel electrophoresis technology were applied to detect the S128R gene polymorphism and biochemical indicators simultaneously. Results:Comparing with the control group, Fasting blood glucose, HbAlc, TC, BUN and Cr were higer in study group with statistically significant. E-selectin S128R genotype was significant in the difference of2groups (χ2=7.37, P<0.05). For the risk analysis of genotypes frequency, the risk of the RR genotype diabetes nephrosis was2.34times than the SS genotype (OR=2.34,95%CI:1.91~2.86). The frequency of the S allele and the R allele genotype was significant difference of2group (χ2=14.73, P<0.05, OR=2.34,95%CI:1.50~3.65). Type2diabetic nephropathy patients with R allele was significantly higher than that without R allele in clinical indicators. Conclusion:The outcome indicates that the polymorphism of E-selectin S128R genotype is associated with the incidence of diabetic nephropathy and R allele may be a genetic risk factor in Han population in the northern of GuangXi province. The R alleles may contribute to the incidence of diabetic nephropathy through affecting the metabolism of blood glucose, blood lipids. |
