Objective: Discussing the results of different paths of small chestincision surgery for heart disease.Materials and Methods:126cases of heart disease accepted threedifferent paths minimally invasive method of surgery in the SecondHospital of Jilin University Cardiovascular Surgery from June2008toSeptember2012,in which49cases accepted atrial septal defect repairsurgery by the right anterolateral incision of which13cases wereconcomitant tricuspid valvuloplasty.Eight cases accepted ventricularseptal defect repair of which one case was concomitant tricuspidvalvuloplasty.Four cases accepted mitral valve replacement of which onecase was concomitant tricuspid valvuloplasty.Four cases accepted mitralvalve repair.Four cases accepted aortic valve replacement.14casesaccepted left atrial myxoma resection.Choosing the left axillary incisionductus arteriosus ligation were32cases; And11cases choosed the rightparasternal incision line of ultrasound-guided next atrial septal defectocclusion.Results:125patients of these went smoothly in the surgery.Thepatients’ valves functioned well after replacement or valvuloplasty without regurgitation or only mild regurgitation. No residual leakage leftin the cases of ventricular septal defect or ductus arteriosus. No occluderoff in the cases of atrial septal defect closure. Postoperative woundhealed well, beautiful.Discharged after three months, six months, oneyear follow-up, patients in stable condition, no residualshunt, paravalvular leakage, lower extremity thrombosis, orcerebrovascular accident, etc.Symptoms improved significantly andpatients recovered satisfactorily.Patients expressed satisfaction withincision small and hidden. One case arose low cardiac output syndromeand died after aggressive treatment. Conclusion:Small incision directing vision cardiac surgery has thesame effect compared with conventional thoracotomy median treatmentof heart disease. Different heart diseases should choose different pathsmall incision cardiac surgery. Small incision directing vision cardiacsurgery has advantages of less trauma, hidden incision, postoperativethoracic well stabled, faster recovery, less blooding, wound appearance, low cost. With the continuous development of surgical techniques andinstruments, minimally invasive surgery will be more applications tosurgical treatment of heart disease.
