Objective:Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. A considerable part of the prescription drug can not be rest assured use because of adverse drug reactions or failing effects. Beta(β)-lactam antibiotics ranks first in all kinds of adverse drug reactions, and how to improve its efficacy and security has been a problem in clinical practice. So we analyzed the correlation between genetic polymorphism of IL-10and β-lactam allergy in Chinese Han population of Northwest China. Through the pharmacogenomics research tools to explore and understand the individual differences of drug reactions, in order to improve efficacy, prevent ADR. reduce the burden of medical expenses and the cost of drugs to society.Material and Methods:In the thesis, we selected rs1800872of IL-10201patients with β-lactam allergy and199control patients were selected to conduct the correlation of rs1800872and β-lactam allergy in Chinese Han population of Northwest China with a case-control method, and the results were verified by direct sequencing method. Results:The genotype frequencies of the IL-10rs1800872polymorphism were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in control group. The genotype and allele frequencies between β-lactam allergy group and control group showed no significant differences in Chinese Han population of Northwest China (P>0.05). Nor gender stratification was found (P>0.05).Conclusion:There was no significant correlation between IL-10rs1800872polymorphism and β-lactam allergy in Chinese Han population of Northwest China.
