Relationship Between Vitamin D Level And Type2Diabetes Under Different Glucose Tolerance Statues

Objective To investigate the relationship between25-Hydroxyvitamin D (25-OH-D) and type2diabetes risk factors under different glucose tolerance statuses.Methods Two undred and ninety-eight patients with type2diabetes mellitus (DM group), three hundred subjects with impaired fasting glucose/imparied glucose tolerande(IFG/IGT group),and three hundred and ten nomal control subjects(NGT group). The selected did not take vitamin D and calcium in1year. Fasting serum25-OH-D was assayed by ELISA. Homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance (Homa-IR), insulin acuity index(IAI),β-cell function index(Homa-BCF)and Secretion index(IS) were calculated to explore the relationship with25-OH-D.Results(1)The levels of25-OH-D.IAI and Homa-BCF in DM group and IFG/IGT group were significantly lower than that in NGT group (P<0.05). Homa-IR in DM group and IFG/IGT group was significantly higher than that in the NGT group (P＜0.05)(2)Pearson correlation analysis and partial correlation analysis showed that25-OH-D was positively correlated with fasting insulin(FINS), Homa-BCF and IS(P<0.05).(3)Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that25-OH-D was one of the influential factors of pancreatic islet β cell function in patients with type2diabetes mellitus.Conclusion(1) Serum25-OH-D level of different glucose tolerance group presented different change. The normal group, the IFG/IGT group and DM group showed a trend of gradually reduce.(2) The level of serum25-OH-D was low in patients with type2diabetes mellitus.25-OH-D was closely related with the function of the pancreatic islet β cell.(3)25-OH-D was one of the influential factor of pancreatic islet β cell function.
