Zhao Yuan Ren And Huang Zi Art Songs With A Comparison Of The Characteristics Of Singing

During the history of Chinese modern and contemporary music and the development of art songs, Zhao Yuanren and Huang Zi are among the representatives. The former is the father of Chinese linguistics, the latter is the leading educator of Chinese modern and Contemporary music. Both of them contribute a lot to Chinese modern and Contemporary art songs spontaneously. They have absorbed the pith of western music and developed Chinese traditional music creatively. Those laid a substantial foundation for our“new music”(in contrast to traditional music) and made contributions to the improvement the national art songs. The two are the important tutors of the art songs developing. Zhao and Huang have their own styles and ideas, they use different ways to explain the love for their country which formed in the course of creating and exploring. The songs they created are very typical sailing a new path for our art songs and opening a new page for the modern and Contemporary art songs. This paper is designed to compare the works of Zhao and Huang from the differences between them. The key points are put on the creating characters and singing styles. I hope that my opinions are tips for the professional workers. The art songs are expressed more scientifically and correctly.
