Comprehensive human development theory is an important part of Marxist theory. Whatis comprehensive development of human? How to achieve man’s comprehensivedevelopment? Those questions are the core component of the theory. In the study ofMarxist theory, we must conduct a comprehensive analysis and study of humandevelopment theory of Marxism in order to better play its role in the process of guidingpeople to practice. Aimed at the rich and profound social connotations of humancomprehensive development, this paper take the interpretation of the social connotations ofhuman comprehensive development theory of human as the beginning point. Humandevelopment can not be separated from society, different social systems lead to differentdevelopment. The essence of the system is social relations, it’s a kind of historicalexistence, therefore, human development has always been closely linked with the system,and to achieve the comprehensive development of human necessarily requires a certainbenign conditions of the system. Among the social system, education system is the key.This paper conduct a historical survey about the ideological origins, historicalbackground and historical trajectory of Marx’s human development theory, point out that itis on the basis of the critical inheritance of previous ideological achievements and in thehistorical conditions of capitalist society, Marx created the scientific human comprehensivedevelopment theory. Then carry out a theoretical study of the social connotation ofcomprehensive human development as well as the nature of the system and HumanityImplication, clarified the comprehensive human development and social system isinherently associated, comprehensive human development must have a certain systemconditions, and conditions of the system has a multifaceted role in the development ofhuman. The study of human development and institutional relations aimed at promoting thecomprehensive development of human. However, education, in contemporary China, as an important way to promote man’s comprehensive development, did not fully play itsfunction. Some unreasonable factors in China’s education system restrict thecomprehensive development of Chinese people. To resolve the contradiction of theeducation system and human development, promote the comprehensive development, wemust specifically analyze the reasons of these unreasonable factors, find outcountermeasures one by one, thus to carry out education reform and innovation.
