| Looking back at the history, the rural theme is always in the ascendant, from the ruralnovels to rural teleplays. However, there were many ups and downs in the development of ruralteleplays. Since the new millennium, the rural teleplays sparkles another time on the TV screen,after a period of blossom and stillness, especially the five series <Rural love Stories> by ZhangJi during 6 years from 2006 to 2012. Even though, people in the TV industry pass differentjudgments on Zhang Ji’s products, But whether in urban or rural areas, these Zhang Ji’s productsare showing tremendous popular of all mass destruction in the audience in a very sensationaleffect.Zhang Ji is a true peasant writer, his rural teleplays with a distinct personality characteristics.Why choosing Zhang Ji-rural teleplays as the object of study? Because it is based on his identityof native peasant writer, his rural teleplays is from the reality but higher than the realitycharacteristics. Creation features from his early novels penetrated into his the rural teleplays, andwell into the characters of the plays, language characters, story and artistic implication in his TVseries, we can find some common art features, which belong to Zhang Ji, which is not from aplay director. In the creative process, consciously or unconsciously he formed his certain artisticfeatures, however, there is not a specifical work to sysmaticly sort and summarize them.Based on Zhang Ji’s novels and rural teleplays as text analysis, guided by related theories ofthe narratology, sociology, communications, film and TV etc., this article will summarize andgeneralize the common artistic characteristics reflected in the Zhang Ji’s rural teleplays, anddialectically analyze the value significance and creative limitations, from the history verticalangle, combining with Lu Xun, Zhao Shuli’s creation features, reflect on the ignorance ofscreenwriter soul role during current development of the teleplays, which is hoped to bring somecertain inspiration to the development of China’s rural teleplays.First of all, this assignment analyzed the growth up experience of Mr. Zhang ji, analyzing thereasons and strength of he chooses the rural thematic teleplays through his growth up experience, as well as his drama works reflected the awareness of novel creating.Secondly, concerning the characters designing and meaning of arts of the Rural thematicteleplays of Mr. Zhang ji’s artistic product. Regardless of whether thelanguage, the action, or the story lines, all are in the exaggerating expression. It is the reason thatattracting the audience because of the dramaticism comes from the exaggerated expression.The fourth, looking forward the future, the Rural thematic teleplays have already formed afixed narrative mode.
