In the era of globalization, education is more and more international, which bringsthe generation and development of international schools.Owning to the student sources are comparatively complex and Chinese leveldifferences are comparatively huge, in the course of teaching Chinese in internationalschools, teachers often take the layer teaching to deal with the situation.Layer teaching both at home and abroad has a long history. The prototype of thelayer teaching abroad in1868was founded in the "activity id system" by the Americaneducators Harris (Harris W.T.) in St. Louis. In China, the “layer teaching method”traces back to the farthest Confucius "inaccordance with their aptitude" thought.The modern pedagogies pay more attention to students’ individual development,which promotes the development of the layer teaching in many disciplines. The layerteaching has its advantages and disadvantages. The author, based on practiceexperience in international school, tries to study layer teaching for preliminaryresearch, the research of the layer teaching strategies include making scientificteaching target and teaching key points, and the implementation of the scaffoldinginstruction. Through the article, the author hopes to explore the solutions to teachingproblems.
