The bridge,as the carrying things while people travels,plays a very important role in our production and social life since it appeared.It has a variety of forms.For example,arch bridge,girder bridge,cable bridge and so on.Meanwhile,the building materials have passed from the original wood to the stone,the iron,until now the bridges are made of the concrete structure.From the point of the development course of the bridge,in addition to being a transportation tool,to a certain extent,the bridges are also carrying the traces of human activities,reflects the religious,folk custom status about local scene.This article is based on the anaglyph pattern on the bridge of Puji in Shanxi province.in order to analyze the local religious and social customs.This article will mainly describe the large arch anaglyph images on the bridge of Puji,according to their subjects,they are divided into three categories.They are the theme of religious,the theme of war and the theme of life three categories. Combining with the relevant historical records,define the single anaglyph image,meanwhile,the penman though the contrast way hoped can find the link between the group of anaglyph images,to explore social life condition where there is a bridge of Puji in shanxi province.The small arch anaglyph images on the bridge of Puji,the penman think that they are related with the buddhism,calling them "eight mascots",and the penman will describe them one by one,as the supplementary evidence for the Buddhist theme pattern on the large arch anaglyph.This article will be Based on the overall research of the carving patterns on the bridge of Puji,contribute to make sence of the folk belief for us, and then provide the convenience for a question of research in cultural exchange between the Tibetan Buddhism and Chinese Buddhism in Jin and Yuan periods.
