The Study Of Li Bai’s Poetry And Myth

Myth and poetry itself is a pair of twin brothers. Many poets at all time and in all over the world have been impacted by myth. Li Bei is one of them. According to the auther of incomplete statitics,There are more than one hundred legend stories in Li Beil’s odes and poems.They not only have the loan of the original myths, in these odes and poems,but also include being transformed legend stories. These odes and poems enveloped with a rich mythical.Most of former researcher of Li Bai’s poetry study from a religious point of view,and less from the point of view of pure myth. In this paper, we use the generalized concept of myth, and divide these legend stories into Creation Myths, Plant Myths, Animal Myths, Thing Myths, Human Myths five basic categories, and integrate a system of myths on this basic. We can search for the reason that Li Bei has accepted myths and the inlluence that myths have brought to Li Bei’s thought and the creation of poetry.
