Since the "new science" has been published, Scholars at home and abroad, especially the domestic scholarsresearch on Vico’s emphasis on its historical contributions to philosophy, it demonstrated the aestheticmeaning, poetic theory, legal interpretation, artistic imagination theory and so on, were omitted evenmention its theology. While theology in the "new science" of the component is considerable. In the early writings of Vico, the basic concern is God and the relationship between God humanbeings. And these are a rebuttal to direct to Descartes as the representative of the rational party blasphemyat that time. Therefore, early Vico wasn’t as historians or linguists to write. Later, although his "newscience" appeared with a brand-new view-Philosophy, Poetic aesthetic theory on, still can see its originalside of God’s authority as a defenser. For example on the philosophy of history when God decided role, though human created the world, it is all finished in divine guidance. It also shows his powers everywherein the poetic aesthetic theory, the primitive man’s poetic wisdom, include the civil theology on God allexplained that the theology of Vico is as the special status in the "new science". Therefore, in the Vico’ssystem if philosophy, every of view is not a lonely existence, but intertwined, interconnected. And the linkis the gods of Vico said. In the divine guidance, all human work just develops cyclicly and progressively. In addition, there is an vagueness and contradiction of the existence of a God in Vico’s new science. When he describes the pagan peoples outside the Hebrew nation, he distinguishes between gods ofconcepts and the ontological sense. And he points out the developed role that God intended in humanhistory, more important was he places emphasis on the role of religion. So Vico is a theist. But he excludedthe Hebrew people of the so-called "pagan people". His description of the pagan peoples emphasized theactive role, mankind has created its own history, and progress in the playback of history. In view of this heseems to be a Marxist materialism. Vico’s contradiction, could give reasons that his fear of people accusinghim of Hebrew and Greece people of Zeus, the same as a "poetic wisdom" of fiction. And this fear ispartly due to Vico himself was a devout Christian, and religiosity itself is no reason according to disputed. On the other hand, in the era of Vico, he felt terrible to the fear of punishment by the Catholic dynasty, andGalileo’s encounter was also a little reminder to him. All description of Vico’s New Science is a humanitarian basis--meaning God. Although the God of Pagan peoples was created in their own fantasy, itwas a unique divinity that was given by God, Although the God of Pagan peoples was created in their ownfantasy, it was a unique divinity that was given by God, but the devinity of the Hebrew nation is granteddirectly by the true God. From this, most of us have relatively clear understanding of God to Vico’sambiguous sense: the human history was created by themselves and understood by their own. But the basisof understanding will be guided by a god’s intention. So the creating history just show this divinity ofpeople. Therefore, the society was created by humans demonstrates not only the people’s activity but alsothe divinity.
