It explores aboutthe aesthetic value and artistic features of The Golden Lotus with certain profundity, especially oncharacters. This paper studies comprehensively the character comments in Comments on The Golden Lotus,New Version with Illustration, analyzing and evaluating them in two aspects:character-judging andcharacterization theory.This paper is divided into the introduction and the body.The introduction mainly defines the object, the current state and the significance of the study.The body is the main part, divided into three chapters:The first chapter classifies the comments in Comments on The Golden Lotus, New Version withIllustration on the characters in the novel The Golden Lotus.
