Shinto thinking is rooted in the hearts of the Japanese, it influences all aspects of their lives. To animation, it is one of the most popular artistic forms of Japanese society, combining it with Shinto is inevitable. On the one hand, religion has always been closely related to art, on the other hand, the traditional culture in modern needs new forms of expression. This study focuses on the early stages of Shinto——the Original Shinto. Because it is subordinate to natural religion, it forms totally spontaneously, there is no so-called founder or doctrine. So in the study, this article starts from two perspectives:the idea and the form symbol, expounds on the expression and variation of Nature Worship、Language Worship、Ancestor Worship、the cultural image of Shrine and Three Artifacts in Japanese animation one by one with case analysis, and comes to the reasons of variation, it also compares Japanese animation with Chinese in a rough way, and points out some of the deficiencies in Chinese animation.
