Based upon the staging research on the middle period remains of Youyao(游邀)site, distinguishing the late Longshang period remains in northeastern Loess Plateau, studying its properties, first recognizing the middle stage artifacts of Youyao(游邀)site belongs to Yongxingdian culture. Meanwhile, the writer observes the changes ofthe archaeological cultures of the late Longshan period in northeastern Loess Plateau, and analyses the forming of culture structure. Through the research work in the above ,I believe that the“Y”shape region which is located in the intersection of northwesternHebei Province, northern Shanxi Province and south-central Inner Mongolia, still haslinked up north to south in the late Longshan period. This paper includes seven chapters:Introduction: It is about the reasons of writing the thesis and the spans of timeand space. Introducing the brief history of research in the archaeological cultures ofthe late Longshan period in northeastern Loess Plateau , pointing out the outstandingissues and study approach. The first chapter: The staging research on the middle period remains of Youyao(游邀) site.Dividing the middle period remains of Youyao (游邀) site into 2 stages bygeneralizing the evolutional law of its Shuangpan-ge.The second chapter: Distinguishing and analysing the remains of late Longshanperiod in Xinding basin.Dividing the late period of Yangbai(阳白) site into 2 stages, its early and lateparts correspond to the early and middle period of Youyao (游邀) site respectively, getting the idea of the early and late parts of the late period of Yangbai (阳白) site arethe same as the early and middle stage complex of Youyao (游邀) site respectively. Moreover, distinguishing the others of the late Longshan period in Xinding basin. The third chapter: Distinguishing and analyzing the remains of late Longshanperiod in Sanggan river basin.Firstly, discussing the date of typical sites. The author considers that the lateLongshan period remains of Shaizilingluo(筛子绫罗), Zhuangke(庄窠) andSangguan(三关) site correspond to the early and middle period of Youyao (游邀) site, the second kind remains of Jiajiaying(贾家营) site correspond to the middle period ofYouyao (游邀) site, the late Longshan period remains of Guanzhuang (官庄) site isdivided into the early stage and the late stage, they correspond to the early stage andthe late stage of the middle period remains of Youyao (游邀) site respectively.Secondly, studying the properties of remains. Showing that that the late Longshanperiod remains of Shaizilingluo(筛子绫罗), Zhuangke(庄窠), Sangguan(三关) andGuanzhuang (官庄) site, the second kind remains of Jiajiaying(贾家营) site, and themiddle period of Youyao (游邀) site belong to the same archaeological culture. Notethat Shaizilingluo(筛子绫罗), Zhuangke(庄窠), Sangguan(三关) site don’t fondcezhuangshuangpan-le which is common in the middle period of Youyao (游邀) site,Guanzhuang (官庄) site discover some potteries that are mainly found in Yabazhuangtype. Moreover, distinguishing the others of late Longshan period in Sanggan riverbasin. The fourth chapter: The properties of the middle period remains of Youyao (游邀)site and the relations with neighboring archaeological cultures.Indicating that the middle period remains of Youyao (游邀) site is one place typeof Yongxingdian culture, its dating correspond to the late period of Yongxingdianculture, named Youyao type. Yongxingdian culture originates in Laohushan culture, divided into two phases. And then, talking over the relationship between the middleperiod remains of Youyao (游邀) site and her neighboring archaeological cultures, showing that the middle period remains of Youyao (游邀) site communicated withXinghua(杏花) culture and Yabazhuang(哑叭庄) type, didn’t communicated with thelow layer of Xiajiadian culture in western Liaoning Province. The fifth chapter: Analyzing the forming of culture structure of the late Longshanperiod in northeastern Loess Plateau.Probing the forming of culture structure of the late Longshan period in Xindingbasin and Sanggan river basin. In the late Longshan period, Yongxingdian cultureoccupied Xinding basin and Sanggan river basin, shaping into the Youyao type ofYongxingdian culture, represented by the middle period remains of Youyao (游邀)site. Actually, in the early period of Youyao site, Yongxingdian culture capturedSanggan river basin, its confrontation with Xinghua culture in Xinding basin, separated by Mount Heng. After the Longshan period, the low layer of Xiajiadianculture that came from western Liaoning Province, entered Sanggan river basin.Meanwhile ,the late period remains of Youyao (游邀) site is a representative inheritorof Yongxingdian culture, occupied Xinding basin. Mount Heng became boundary between different archaeological cultures again. It is thus clear that the late Longshanperiod was the most prosperous time fort the Yongxingdian culture. The sixth chapter: ConclusionOn the basis of distinguishing the late Longshan period remains in northeasternLoess Plateau, recognizing the middle stage artifacts of Youyao(游邀) site belongs toYongxingdian culture for the first time, sketching the culture structure in northeasternLoess Plateau where is the node of“Y”shape region, discovering that thearchaeological cultures of south-central Inner Mongolia, central Shanxi Province andwestern Liaoning Province appeared in northeastern Loess Plateau, deeming that the“Y”shape region has still mixed northern and southern culture together in the lateLongshan period.
