| In the1960’s of the20th century, many linguists began to focus oncommunicative aspects of pragmatics, paying more and more attention tothe spoken language, and becoming increasingly important. At present,pragmatics has become very important in linguistics.Wish is a form of speech genres. In life, everybody can use this formof communication and know its pragmatics features. The identification ofthe characteristics of the speech genre of wish helps to understand formaland semantic laws of natural spoken language, making communicationbetween the two sides more successful. Wishes reflect social and culturalenvironment, as well as relationships and values. The pragmatics functionof wish is to research a practical application in language communication.However, the genre of wish in specific situations within students’communication, together with simple speech genres as part of a compoundspeech genre, has not been yet covered by linguists.The purpose of the present dissertation is, on the one hand, to describethe pragmatics features of the Chinese and Russian speech genre of wish,and on the other hand, to reveal pragmatic features and speech genresforms of oral wishes in the "student environment". All these purposes mayhelp foreign students to learn Chinese language.The research of Chinese speech genres helps to develop languagecharacteristics and cultural background. This can also provide theoreticalreferences for teaching Chinese and other foreign languages. Thisdissertation uses comparative research methodologies to analyzedifferences in the application of the genre pragmatics principles by peopleof different cultures. The topic of this dissertation has intercultural andforeign language teaching relevance, and can be valuable in foreignlanguages teaching.This study is only a preliminary discussion, because its main focus isuniversity students. More research should be done on how factors likebehavior and educational background affect the daily communication of wishes and casual written messages. As a result, research about this topicshould be continued. |
