Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is the most influential classical composer in Austria inthe second half of the18thcentury. He obtained achievements that attract worldwideattention not only in areas like opera, symphony, etc., but also in concerto, amongwhich his violin concerto is an important touchstone in testing the musicianship andtechnical merit of the performer, and is irreplaceable in the art history of InternationalString Music. However, Mozart’s violin concerto is difficult to perform, though seenfrom the apparent tablature; its play skills are not so intricate, what is hard to masteris the music style in his work. It not only requires high level of performing from theperformer, but also requires them to accurately grasp the rich connotation in the work,the sense of balance and delicacy while performing, the embodiment of which requiresthe performer to grasp all the play skills on basis of full understanding of the work.This article is to study Mozart <A Major No.5Violin Concerto>, by combiningtheory and practice, the author multi-angularly, multi-sidedly analyses and explains itsmusical characteristics and play skills on the theoretical basis of existing document andalso audio and video files available, including its melody and structure, rhythm andintensity, grace note and also the use of the both-hand play skill, etc. No matter in termsof musicology or play skills, they all have been discussed all-roundly and in deep detail.This article can play a role in providing theoretical basis for performer to better use theplay skill and better perform the <A major No.5Violin Concerto>, and is expected tobe able to play such a role in promoting the future teaching research of the Mozart <AMajor No.5Violin Concerto>.
