On10thOctober1911, there came the outbreak of the Wuchang Uprising, andJilin Region positively set off the1911Revolution Movement. The Movement hasbeen the unpopular fields of the historical research, with less research achievements.And most are satisfied with the pure description of the revolutionary process, so manyissues need to continue to explore.From1911to2011, the1911Revolution has100years of history, this articlereviews the unforgettable history of Jilin Revolution Movement a century ago.The first part focuses on the background of the Revolution Movement in Jilin area.Before the1911Revolution, the brutal aggression of imperialist powers in the Jilinarea, such as Japan and Russia, brought grave disasters to the mass in Jilin area.Ethnic conflicts were extremely sharp and the life of the nation was threatened; Underthe decadent rule of the Qing government, the social crisis was unprecedented grave.Jilin peasants struggled against the authority spontaneously through refusing to paylevies and snatching the grain, which shook the rule of the Qing Dynasty in Jilin; Jilinnational capitalism made an initial development, and the emerging nationalbourgeoisie had been on the political arena. The conditions of the democraticrevolution were increasingly mature, and the revolution would come.The second part describes the occurrence and the development of Revolutionmovement in Jilin area. After the establishment of the United League, therevolutionaries in Jilin promoted revolutionary ideas, developed revolutionary armed,and planned revolutionary base to prepare for the arrival of the revolution. After theWuchang Uprising, the news quickly spread throughout the country, the Revolutioninclined to be more nationwide, the Revolution movement in Jilin area developed gradually, revolutionaries with the bourgeois revolutionaries in other provincesagainst the reactionary forces, attempt to achieve peace and independence. However,the establishment of the security declared the failure of the revolutionaries to strivefor peaceful struggle. At the same time, Jilin constitutionalists were also activelyinvolved in the movement to promote the collapse of the imperial empire.The third part describes the procedure and the end of the Revolution movement inJilin area. The failure of Revolutionaries’ fight for the peaceful struggle does notmean that the revolutionary movement of the Jilin region is on this end. Since then,the Jilin region revolutionaries set up a joint radical will branch, planning to armedstruggle, and actively cooperated with LanTianwei northern expedition, starting a newupsurge of revolutionary movement, Jilin area revolution movement has entered anew phase. On February28,1912, Jilin announced transform flags and the calendar,but far less than can be said that the revolutionary movement is on this end. After theanti-Yuan struggle, the Revolution of1911Jilin movement actually came to its end.The last section discusses the impact, characteristics and existing problems of theRevolution movement in Jilin area; I will make an objective evaluation of thismovement. The Revolution movement in Jilin region brought tremendous impact tothe community, and the influence was far-reaching; Geographical particularity cast itsdistinctive with its own characteristics, but also exposed many problems. TheRevolution movement in Jilin region was of great significance for the society in Jilin,I believe that the Revolution movement in Jilin can not be simply regarded as failureor “abortion”. Jilin Revolution movement only ended, not failed.
