Color Composition’s Influence On Modern’s Claborate-Style Painting Of Birds And Flowers

With the development of paintings of man-of-letters, landscape paintings and paintings in free-sketch style occupy the major position in the parterre. However, the elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers reflourish with the change of social environment. Based on keeping traditional specialty of modern elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers in particular, large amounts of artists begin to be creative and attempt to create, thus there appear various kinds of modern elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers.Color is not only an important part of composing the visual effect but also a powerful artistic way of manifestation. The color of elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers is a good supporter of focusing the author’s inventiveness and expressing the theme."Different Kinds with Different Colors" in Six Principle is a spirit creed which commands the whole Chinese paintings’ colors. Influenced by western culture and modern design theory, modern elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers will use in volunteer some theory of western color and design color composition when the painters design the colors and arrange the pictures.This paper is going to explore the color of elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers. It is made up of five chapters. At first it will discuss the origin of this thesis, purpose and some inspiration of my creation. Chapter one is a introduction to the color of traditional elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers and the visual manifestation of modern elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers, among which modern is defined since the period of reform and open. Chapter two discusses the reason for using color composition in the elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers. With the change of modern people’s aesthetic need and the influence of the communication between the west and east, modern elaborate-style paintings of birds and flowers have mixed with color composition. Chapter three is devoted to exploring the interaction between color composition theory and traditional Chinese color theory at first. Then it will discuss the basic methods of using color composition. Chapter four is the point of the whole thesis. The composition linguistics features of modern claborate-style paintings of birds and flowers come into being under the influence of color composition theory and methods. These features include the color arrangement, the comparison of color and the use of texture. The color emotion will be analyzed by the works of modern comparatively influential claborate-style paintings of birds and flowers and the works of my creation. The last chapter is dedicated to exploring the various schools of modern claborate-style paintings of birds and flowers in accordance with color.Finally is the conclusion. Traditional artistic means will not limit themselves into its present basic patterns with the development of society. It begins to seek some ways and visual effect that modern people can accept according to its need, but it will lose the spirit and racial features of claborate-style paintings of birds and flowers itself to some extent if it pays too much attention to the visual effect and manifestation. Large mounts of painters who study the essence and spirit of Chinese paintings can not only understand and master traditional painting color views and manifestation ways accurately but also make the conception and manifestation ways keep up with the merits of various arts, which means that it has created or is exploring to create their own painting principles and styles. That the artistic color system of modern claborate-style paintings of birds and flowers is being constructed and improved constantly is the point and meaning of my thesis.
