The appearance of the Puritan movement in the United Kingdom was due to thatreligious reform wasn’t completely in Tudor dynasty.It was a religious reformmovement for purifying Catholic tradition in Anglican furtherly.Although it is religiousmovement,its impact had exceeded religious restrictions,which was related to all aspectsof society and left a great spiritual wealth for future generations.Tremendous materialwealth had been created from spiritual wealth,and its impact endless also.The article isdivided into three chapters for giving an account of the Puritan movement and analyzingthe social influence perfectly.The first chapter has a discussion on religious reformmovement in the early Tudor dynasty,and religious reform of Martin Luther,Calvin inthe European continent,which is background of Puritan movement.The second chaptertreats of painstaking efforts of puritanism in order to achieve its purpose of purifyingAnglican,which has experienced their own division,and unifing with politics for gainingtheir purpose. Puritan was eventually abandoned.The third chapter discusses the impactof Puritanism on the British political and economic,as well as puritan spirit has broughtabout an indelible mark to various aspects of American society.
