Applied Research Of Chinese Traditional Geometric Patterns In Decoration Indoor Interface

Geometric patterns, an important part of Chinese traditional culture, run throughout the various periods of development of Chinese history all the time; run through people’s lives; reflect the customs of the different periods. From the simple geometry of Primitive society, rough bronze ornamentation of the Slave society, to beautifully complicate and rich auspicious meanings geometric patterns of Feudal society. The geometric patterns embody the essence of Chinese culture; reflect the corresponding period of the unique artistic aesthetic.Indoor interface is an important space enclosed widget; its decoration is the main content of the interior space design. From traditional architecture interior decoration to modern interior decoration, interface decorative patterns, colors, materials reflect the different era characteristics. According to the aesthetic form of rule, the modern interior designer must design an interior space with modern and Chinese style though the analysis and research of the interface composition, color, texture, etc.This dissertation includes four parts:First part, the author has summarized the origin, development and classification of traditional geometric patterns. Second part, it has analyzed the application forms of geometric patterns which are used in indoor building interface, weaving interface and furniture interface. Third part, it discourses the processed form of modern interior interface, constitute forms of indoor interface decorative patterns, color matching and material selection. Forth part, it combines traditional geometric patterns, color matching of modern interior interface and material use. Summed up design features and the design methods, that Chinese traditional geometric patterns are applied in modern interior interface design in the future. At last, select a classic case to analyze, and make a design practice.This paper is to explore the traditional geometric patterns be applied in indoor interface design, in order to explore the cultural connotations of Chinese traditional geometric patterns and design techniques of ancient and modern architecture indoor interface as main line; build a crisscross, warp and weft interwoven overall architecture of decorative patterns of ancient and modern indoor interface.
