| This essay mainly focuses on the life of Ernest Bloch, an Jewish musician, and the whole-aspects analysis of his masterpiece:an viola suit, which is composed in May.29,1919. Probing into varied aspects, such like:his life, living environment, family, ethics, study experience and etc, I analyse this suit in the following perspectives:the background of composing, comparison with other works, the musical structure and the skills in performance. The analysis of the musical structure is combined with score scripts, to illustrate the musical form, harmony and composing skill. Thereby, this paper themes at introducing Ernest Bloch’s brilliant life and his great composition of this viola suit. |
