Xiao Hong is actually a real character without fictionality. However, she has always been discussed and shaped by other people, and she exists in this constant discussion and shaping. Up to now, there are many researchers who focus themselves on Xiao Hong’s biographical study. The biographical studies about Xiao Hong, however, are mostly immature and unsystematic.Biographers in different era have different cultural context, even if they belong to the same era, they still have different perspective and personality, which makes Xiao Hong’s biography various and diverse. In different kinds of biographical works, Xiao Hong has been continuously constructed as a literary figure and "Xiao Hong" ontology has been constantly enriched, which is an explanation process without end. As the result, the study of the entire authoring system based on Xiao Hong’ s biography and the exploration of works of different times and different perspectives have great academic value.Xiao Hong’s image build can be generally divided into three stages:First, Xiao Hong’s image shaping by contemporaries. The shaping in this period is basically achieved through the recall of the deeds before Xiao Hong’s death, what is more, the data selection reflects the author’s creative tendencies. Luo Binji is the representative of this period, and he accompanies Xiao Hong on her dying bed. His "Xiao Hong Biography" is the earliest biography about Xiao Hong, and it has become indispensable. Through the mourning articles of Xu Guangping, Ding Ling, Liu Yazi and Nie Gannu, it can been seen that in the eyes of friends Xiao Hong is not only strong but also vulnerable, and she is a "contradiction combination of strength and vulnerability".Second, Xiao Hong’s image shaping by writers from1980s. Writers in this period shape Xiao Hong’s image from the "revolutionaries" perspective. Xiao Feng and Ge Haowen are the representatives of this period, and Xiao Feng is the most representative writer. In "Xiao Hong Biography", Xiao Feng uses "big landlords" to call Xiao Hong’s father and family; she describes in detail how Xiao Hong is encouraged by the "May Fourth" and join the army to resist the old force; and she also thinks that Xiao Hong’swork "The Life and Death" is a concentrated reflection of the anti-feudal thinking. The above description shows that Xiao Feng shapes Xiao Hong’s image from the "revolutionaries" perspective.Third, Xiao Hong’s image shaping by writers since the1990s. Under the guidance of "authentic biography", writers in this period begin to focus themselves on novelty and rehabilitation, trying to dig out the real Xiao Hong and making Xiao Hong’s image more "multidimensional". During Xiao Hong’s life, her relationship with her teacher Lu Xun is mostly concerned and her marriage is mostly controversial, which makes her life more legendary and becomes the focus of writers’novelty and rehabilitation. Through the description of the relationship between Lu Xun and Xiao Hong, many writers reveal Xiao Hong’s lack of fatherly love and desire for fatherly love. There are also many writers who focus themselves on the relationship between Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun, trying to show Xiao Hong’s chasing love image. However, inevitably, theme emotion intervention phenomenon also appears in Xiao Hong’s biography writing, the representatives include Qiu Shi, Cao Gecheng, etc. Qiu Shi is the advocate of Xiao Jun and Cao Gecheng is the relative of Duan Mu, they discuss the loving relationship among Xiao Hong, Xiao Jun and Duan Mu. It is just because of the discussion that makes Xiao Hong’s image "recreated".
