In Collected 《The Whole Hanfu》, there are totally19Hanfu titled with bird name. The quantity is the first of object Hanfu of the whole Hanfu. The creation ranged from Han dynasty to Wei and Jin dynasties. It consists of variety of birds, different forms and abundant meanings, and becomes a strange flower in Hanfu. Its fine, profound art and aesthetics style significantly influences on the later literatures on birds chanting.Why scholars of Han dynasty described the appearance and origin of birds, recalled with emotion and shouted aspiration so eagerly have many aspects of underlying reasons, mainly including cultural origin, times factor, literature acceptance and individual selection. Firstly, in cultural origin, from the distant past to pre-Qin period, many phenomena concerning the worship, divine and taboos of birds existed in our country. From totemism worship to myth story, bird was not only the symbol of sun, but also the incarnation of ancestor of emperor; even some ugly and weird-voice birds became the omen of disaster. The culture was inherited and developed in Han dynasty, which laid the foundation for bird chanting Hanfu to step onto literature stage. Secondly, during Han dynasty, the theory of interactions between heaven and mankind and divination science were very popular, thus a batch of bird chanting Hanfu appeared that regarded auspicious birds as peace and tranquility and wicked birds as disaster, which drove the prosperity of bird chanting Hanfu of Han dynasty. Meanwhile, in Han dynasty, the society flourished and people were enthusiastic about conviviality and Hanfu, which promoted the prosperity of bird chanting Hanfu to some extent. Additionally, in the aspect of literature acceptance, the prosperity of bird chanting Hanfu of Han dynasty derived from the acceptance of bird chanting chapters in the pre-Qin literature. The inheritance and innovation of bird images in Book of Songs and Songs of Chu by Hanfu of Han dynasty, the acceptance of literature tradition of "man simile with bird" in Book of Songs and Songs of Chu by Hanfu of Han dynasty, and the writing style of Hanfu of Han dynasty that attached importance to body and object, made the artistic accumulation for the prosperity of bird chanting Hanfu. At last, analyzed from the aspect of the impact between individual selection of scholars and writers, firstly, there is a certain interior association between birds and scholars, so birds are easier to be objects that scholars chant, secondly, in Han dynasty, a new centralized political system was established. The era of wandering scholars genuinely ended. The freedom of scholars was limited gradually and even deprived. Additionally, the unification of early days of Han dynasty and chaos of later days resulted in the constant change of social status of scholars, enabling them to be separated from the main stream political stage eventually. Therefore, scholars eagerly chased for the spirit of freedom, so, bird images, as the representation of oracle and symbol of freedom, naturally became the objects that scholars of Han dynasty wished to depict eagerly. Thirdly, Hanfu of Parrot by Mi Heng was the peak of bird chanting Hanfu of Han dynasty, the acceptance and innovation for it by Wang Can, Chen Lin and Zhang Sheng, later scholars, promoted the prosperity of bird chanting Hanfu of later times of Han dynasty, meanwhile, it created a precedent of regarding parrot as being unrecognized, thus adding fuel to the prosperity of bird chanting Hanfu of Wei and Jin periods.Comprehensively and thoroughly exploring why bird chanting Hanfu prospered helps to make a research on how a category of literature images presents colorful and tremendously different connotation and meanings during the change of times, thus enabling profound understanding and objective grasp for the very literature phenomenon.
