Ethical Reexamination On The Space Technology

Science and technology is just like a double-edged sword, which can be beneficial tomankind, at the same time, it will bring about a great disaster. Space science and technology isalso a double-edged sword, which can not only benefit our mankind, but also bring a series ofethical problems. Space is now becoming less and less peaceful: various weapons appear insuccession, the safety of space food and drugs has yet to be tested, and the amount of rubbish inspace is also increasing fast. People should combine the development of space technology withethics so as to lead space technology to the healthy development; otherwise it will bringtremendous anguish and disaster to us. In the development and application of space technology,government, space scientist, astronaut, social enterprises and consumers should all takecorresponding responsibility. We should pay much attention to the ethical issues brought aboutby the space technology, and thus we can avoid disadvantages and benefit mankind.The study of the space technology from an ethical perspective is intended to guide people tobetter use it safely and peacefully, thus avoid the human hurting ourselves. This thesisresearches from a unique ethical perspective, analyzing the developing course of spacetechnology and its reason, the ethical problems caused by the development of space technology,the problems of responsibility, and solutions to the ethical problems. This thesis consists of fourchapters totally. It has carried out the deep analysis of the development of space science andtechnology and related problems, and provided some solutions to the ethical problems causedby the space science and technology.
