The paper interpretates the Greek mythology motifs contained in Eugene O’Neill’s drama in the perspective of the Greek mythology motif. Most of the domestic research was mainly focused on the relationship between Eugene O’Neill’s dram and Greek tragedy and there is a little research mention on motif sbout Eugene O’Neill Motif or incest motif in Eugene O’Neill’s plays. The author hope her research on study drama through the Greek mythology motif will rich domestic study about O’Neill.Myth Motif as a type and function of a combination of research methods in the literature study universal.I tried several ways on the topics of in-depth study:1, text read.2, the literature and compare Approach.-Text analysis,3text analysis-theory-text analysis.O’Neill revenge motif, incest motif as well as pursuit motif were the inheritance and development Greek mythology. O’Neill make those motif to the introduction of its drama and in the new era, and human recognition. Knowledge development to generate new meaning. Revenge motif, the motif of incest motif and pursuit motif in Greek mythology, and O’Neal play Theme of the play’s contains rich humanity and the struggle of the individual soul, they show us the original desire of human nature and strong conflict in human’s life.And also performe of the living condition of hope and pain exist in the human life, they from a literary point of view to show the "human " and deepen the connotation of O’Neill’s drama.
