In recent years, the cultural industry position has become more important in the national economy, many governments put up policies to encourage and support the development of cultural industry. Under the background of great development of culture industry, how to improve the comprehensive competitiveness of culture industry in Nanning city is yet an important question to be solved.This paper applies the SWOT analysis method to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of Nanning city culture industry, and to get the development of advantages of market potential and cultural resources of Nanning city and the development of disadvantages of weakness of industry sense and competitiveness. It both faces the opportunity of big development of cultural industry&policy, and also confronts the fierce competition and challenges&threats.According to the analysis of SWOT model of Nanning city culture industry, we set the overall strategic localization of the development of Nanning city cultural industry like this:rejuvenating strategy of constructing the center of the regional culture industry. It can be detailed as the brand strategy, the innovation&intellectual property rights protection strategy, the talents&technology strategy and the win-win strategy. At the same time, we need continue to further the strategy of cultural city, fully develop the culture industry, build the strong cultural city, improve the image of the city and fight for the proportion of cultural industry accounted for10%of regional GDP in2030. In order to realize those goals, we put forward to change ideas, establish the industry and the market’s idea, dig Nanning features high quality resources, implement of brand strategy, and strengthen the talents cultivation&introduction work, establish the competitive mechanism policies and measures.
