On The Effects Of Communication And Its Principles In Translator Teams

Translation jobs are more demanding than before due to larger projects, tighterschedules, higher quality standards, newer technology, and many other requirements notseen decades ago. However, translators may not be able to fulfill the requirements due totheir inadequate capabilities and lack of experience. This will lead to unsatisfactory, if notpoor, translation quality. But translators could improve their translation quality througheffective team communication.Based on the problems encountered in the translation of a translation project, thisthesis focuses on a study of team communication’s effects on translation projectmanagement and quality control, followed by a discussion of some communicationprinciples for team members to follow through the process of translation.
