Phenomenon Analysis Of Supportive Verbal Feedback In TV Interview Program

Supportive verbal feedback which comes up frequently in the conversationalcommunication is a speech act, it has a direct influence on the effect of conversationcommunication. With the constant development of the conversation analysis theory inChina, supportive verbal feedback has been received significant attention fromnumerous researchers of the conversation analysis. Within the existing researchresults, there are not only the studies of supportive verbal feedback itself, but also theresearches in specific situation which was a little weak. For instance, the researchangles are not considered comprehensively and the research methods are monotonousand simple.The thesis regards the TV interview program as the object of study, and describesit classified and does data statistics by modeling the research achievements of theconversation analysis and pragmatics theories, standing on the concrete and abundantTV interview program’s language materials, and adopting various research methods.What’s more, on this basis, it further discusses the contextual factors that restrict theTV interview program and the principles pragmatics incarnated.Besides the introduction and conclusion, this thesis conducts study concretelyfrom three aspects:(1)It mainly recognizes the phenomenon of the verbal feedbackand supportive verbal feedback, and further establishes the concept of the object ofstudy, that is, the TV interview program’s supportive verbal feedback.(2)It focus onthe classification and distribution of the TV interview program’s form, function andoccurrence position, and carries on analyzing meticulously and scientifically aboutthem, furthermore explores the relationship among the three parts.(3)It analyzes thephenomenon of the TV interview program’s supportive verbal feedback from thepragmatic perspective, and reveals contextual factors and principles pragmatics. Ihope the paper can be as a supplement and make a contribution to the study of thesupportive verbal feedback in specific situation, and provide help to improve well thequality of TV interview program.The paper does rather systematic research to the TV interview program. On theresearch angles, it breaks past form of the supportive verbal feedback itself, and deeps into the specific situation, and analyzes the TV interview program through applyingcomprehensively pragmatics theory perspective. On the research methods, itovercomes past form of single and stereotype, does study by applyingcomprehensively concentrated observation, descriptive method and the quantitativeand qualitative research method. It can be seemed as an innovation of this thesis.
