| This thesis is about a very important Korean writer Hyeon Kyeong-jun whobegan his literary career by〈The sun of mind〉in1934and he had written manynovels in his country until1737when he ventured to move to Manchuria. He did notgo back to his hometown until1945. During the8years, he wrote twenty novels,and17comments, prose, travels and so on. He had been always writing novels bythe thought of realism no matter what the novels were about.Hyeon Kyeong-jun’s early novels were written on the basis of his vagrant life inSiberian and the social background of Korea. In his early novels,the socialinequality made the farmers began to fight for their rights and also made the socialactivists much more active to resist the society.Hyeon Kyeong-jun’s later novels were written on the basis of the experience inManchuria and also the social background. He wrote many novels which were aboutpoor life of the Korean immigrants and the self-reflection of intalictuals.This thesis is written in purpose of accurately reflecting the social backgroundand filling in the study gap about Hyeon Kyeong-jun by means of analyzing how hisrealistic thought changed from early novels to his later novels... |
