The Return Of Traditional Pattern

The paper mainly discusses the application of Chinese tradition of nWu Du"pattern in modern children’s clothing，centers on "traditional meaning" and "modernstyling’’，combine with the creating background, we analyze the style and feature oftraditional “Wu Du” pattern, and attempts to apply the pattern to modern design. Thepaper also has a further discussion with the designing background of modernchild’rens clothing, and tries to ifnd the objective oirentation and practical value ofmodern designs of "Wu Du" as a targeted research to provide reference advice andinspiration for the national children’s clothing designs. The introduction of the paperpresents the content，methods, domestic and international status quo, andcharacteristics of the research; the next chapter descirbes the Chinese traditional "WuD"u pattern’s meaning, implication and historical origin, summed up the modeling,color, crafting characteristics of traditional HWu Du" pattern, discusses the currentsituation and the plight of its development; the main content of the third chapter is acomparative analysis between the traditional “Wu Du” pattern and modern cartoonimages，discusses the pirnciples and modalities of the” Wu Du “pattern redesign andembarrassing situation of local patterns and local designers; the fourth chapterpreliminary analysis of the cartoon of the "top ifve" and then explore the the designdirection of the traditional” Wu Du” pattern from the aspects of design, shape, colorand technology; last chapter uses the，，Wu Du” pattern as an example, analyzes thereasons for the decline of traditional patterns and counterm easures to solve theproblem as well as the importance of the traditional graphics course involved in thebasic teaching in the clothing.
