English has turned out to be one of the most important communication tools with the rapid development of globalization. English level plays an important role in diverse business activities. The requirement of English ability stimulates the appearance of the language training institutions. The increasing number of them made the language training one of the most beneficial industry. People started to realize the financial benefits brought by English. There still are problems behind the prosperity which may give rise to the stop or even the backward. They involve the language itself, trainees and the training institutions. There is a need to analyse the relationship among these three. More and more scholars introduce the economic way to analyse the phenomenon. Language and economics is a newly developed interdisciplinary subject which applies the economic methodology and tools to language study. Most of the research focuses on the economic features of language, language and economy development and language policy and planning. After exploring the dynamical features of language, scholars must devote more time and energy to its static features which will be mostly applied to the language policy.The paper is a tentative exploration of language training within the framework of language and economics. It can be divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction which mainly discuss the significance and purpose of the paper. The second one is the literature. The author introduces the background of the subject and explain four relative theories in detail. The third part is the improvement and the exploration of the relationship between training languages and adult trainees. The fourth one circles on the relationship between training languages and the training institutions. The last part is the summary of the whole paper. Having analysed and proved the fact that language can bring about economic benefits for both individuals and institutions, the author tries to discuss the problems of language training from the perspectives of trainees, training institutions and governments by comparing the facts with the use of cost-benefit analysis. Regarding language learning as an investment, the author emphasizes on the optimal portfolio. The Q value will help people to find the most valuable language. The author explores the problems of the industry by making a case study. After explaining the inner and external factors, the author suggested both the institutions and the government should take measures to solve the problems.The research purpose is to confirm the fact that language has economic effects on both the individuals and institutions. At the same time solve the problem of the working trainees rationally with the use of the language and economics. It tries to provide a broader way for the industry under the saturation situation. The author brought in the relevant economics theory like human capital, public goods as well as the economic methodology to analyse the problems in the paper.
