Since the emergence of modern film art, famous films, which draw inspiration from traditional famous novels or straightly take famous novels as the original scripts appeared abundantly, but some film adaptations dwindle to indifference from lack of profound connotation. The work of Pride and Prejudice has been brought on the big screen four times, and three of them has received high praise except one unverifiable. The Joe Wright’s version in2005is delighted in talking about by person all the time. Although minor defect exist, this excellent work gains a big achievement in both reference and perfecting of the original.Novel and film are both art form concerned by narrative theory which share the same theory background. On this premise, we abandon the methods of add, delete, update in the scale of normal literary film adaptation theory and examine the cinematographic adaptation of Pride and Prejudice from three aspects of narrator, narrative perspective, narrative time and space-time. To examine the conversion and surmount from novel to film is not only the research significance but the key issue of this study as well.
