The Present Situation, Existing Questions And The Countermeasure For Fuqing’s Religious Development

From the existing development, the vicissitudes of the county’s religion during various periods, the paper want to analyze how and why the local religions develop so fast and the exsiting problems of those different religions, and then to find out the scientific countermeasures to guide religions to adapt to socialist society, so as to promote socialist spiritual civilization and material civilization construction.Focusing on the general situation of Fuqing’s religion, from different perspective in religion, history and sociology, we took the methods of interview and field-research to reach the effective countermeasures in order to provide useful references for the construction of a socialist harmonious society.This paper is composed by the summary, text and the conclusionThe summary explains the purpose of writing.The text is divided into three parts. The first part introduces Fuqing City generally, because local culture always has colse ties with the local social circumstance, religion is no exception. The second part introduces the history and the present situation of Fuqing’s religions, which have long history, flourishing since we followed the policy of reform and opening.And the last part mainly discuss the exisiting problems, causes and effects of Fuqing religious development. From the overall view, the positve effect and the negative influence of the religions do coexist. On the one hand, the religions enrich the residents’ spiritual life and promote the stability and harmony of the society, to some extend, which have some positive impacts. On the other hand, the religions also exist some problems, such as some cults insteaad of the Buddhism and Taoism gradually, which makes the local residents losing faith and then bring the chaos of the society.The conclusion discusses how to solve the problems of Fuqing’s Religions. The writer suggest, we should keep creative thinking, actively looking for conjunction points of local reality and the religious development, banning cults and actively guiding the religions and make them coordination with the local society. So, healthy direction guide and enhanced social service function of the religions will strengthen the material civilization and spiritual civilization construction of the local society, and then to completely eradicate cults development.
