The first year of the college or university life is an important milestone in their lives and turning point of their learning career. How to make the freshmen with different foundations and from different places join in the course of college English teaching and learning quickly and effectively is a long-term and exploratory topic for English teachers in the universities. Nowadays the college English teaching especially new text and words teaching keeps a traditional mode. It is a teacher-centered mode to deal with the new words firstly and then analyze and translate the text sentence by sentence and do grammatical drills finally. The whole process is characteristic of language knowledge teaching mainly but neglects and fails to improve the students" language skills especially their applied practice skills.The researcher designs a teaching mode that puts the new words into the corresponding and simplifies the text and makes an integrate presentation to help students build up Schemas and structures step by step to assist them to feedback gradually. This paper is designed on the basis of Schema Theory Input and Output Hypothesis, language learning process and the whole language approach. On the basis of using test-students" questionnaire, examinations as experimental tools, adjusting the progress of the experiment according to teaching observation, analyzing the final data collected by test-students’questionnaire and written contests. According to the tendency of numerical result of this empirical study, it is easy to check and evaluate the teaching effect of the teaching method named The Integrate Presentation and Feedback of College English Texts and New Words for freshmen.The main contribution of this thesis is to provide for the situated teaching method a new way by presenting new text and new words simultaneously meanwhile it can help college freshmen build their confidence and sense of success. It provides an example which pays equal attention to both input and output during the teaching process and lays much stress on training students" integrated skills of English. The paper can prove the feasibility of integrate presentation and feedback of college English texts and new words and it is beneficial to otfer valuable reference materials for future research.
