During16th to17th century, modern science emerged and developed rapidly while theRenaissance and the religious reform movement in the field of religion took place, during thelatter the Bible’s original appearance was restored. Although mechanistic philosophy view ofnature is in line with that of the Bible, theology and science, however, share differentcharacteristics, and theological authority are subject to scientific threat. Thus, conflict betweentheology and science is highlighted slowly.Started from the history of the development of scienceand theology, this paper emphasizes on the analysis of the similarities and differences ofscientific methods and theological methods during16th to17th century, and draws theconclusion that science and theology are inextricably linked. Nevertheless, science is not equal totheology, the same is theology to science, which belong to different areas, having differences butconnected, conflicting and mixing together.
