A Translation Report Based On The Translation Project Of Snow Flower And The Secret Fan

This is a translation project report for Chapter1,2and3of the novel, Snow Flower andthe Secret Fan, a straight fiction set amidst the Taiping Revolution in China by Lisa See. Inthis novel, there are many Chinese cultural elements. The former three chapters are thebeginning of the whole story. This translation report involves five chapters:1) ProjectComponents, consisting of the background of the project, objective of the project,significance of the project.2) The Original Text Analysis, consisting of the introduction to thewriter, original work and the writing background of this work.3) The Translation Preparation,consisting of the reasons for choosing this work and the process of this translation project.4)The Translation Theory Analysis, consisting of three pairs of features between English andChinese which are basic theories of this translation project and problems and solutions on thetranslation.5) Conclusion, including the experiences and lessons from the project andlimitations of the study and prospects for further study.
