Dunhuang Grottoes is the most abundant largest, the world Buddhism holy land, is the flower of Oriental Art. The mural as part of the Buddhist art of Dunhuang is very important, worthy of our study. In the Dunhuang fresco, regardless of is the statue painting or story, whether it is a masterpiece by variable, or a colorful landscape, one can find a "tree" image, which fully shows the important role of "tree" in Dunhuang frescoes in the. Based on this, this paper will argue for the Dunhuang frescoes in the "tree" of the other. This paper is divided into five chapters, the first sum up the Dunhuang frescoes in the "tree" of the research status, significance and methods of the research. Then analyzes the "tree" in the Dunhuang murals, the third part of the Dunhuang frescoes in the "tree" of the origin, characteristics of the times, painting techniques, and choose more representative of the mango trees and canopy trees as an example, systematically, exploring the origin and evolution of the process and the cultural connotation. Thus, more clearly the development of Dunhuang art. Through the study of the Dunhuang frescoes in the "tree", the conclusion of the paper:First of all, the origin of the art of Dunhuang:One is the west. Because of Dunhuang’s special geographical location, Buddhist art process spreads from the western in the Buddhism into Dunhuang, thus, drawing murals in the Dunhuang grottoes. The two is to the East (China) said. Is mainly about Chinese traditional culture along the Silk Road into Dunhuang, which affects the Dunhuang Buddhist art.The three is a local said. Mainly to reflect the local folk customs and beliefs in Dunhuang and argument. Dunhuang local people’s belief in Buddhism, is the important conditions to promote Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes large dug Grottoes draw murals. Then, through to the Dunhuang frescoes in the "tree" of Mogao Grottoes, I think the formation of Buddhist art, should be comprehensive, the above three factors are indispensable, but compared to the traditional Chinese culture of Dunhuang art is more important, Dunhuang local customs and beliefs also play a very important role.Secondly, Dunhuang art originates from life. Dunhuang murals though shows people imagined the Buddhist world, but from the "tree" modeling, especially banana, willow, bamboo tree is more realistic in the mural, described in the Dunhuang murals image was not baseless fantasy, but from life. Also, features of the times in the development of Dunhuang art. The Dunhuang frescoes in the "tree" in different periods reflects the other respective characteristic, is the so-called "pen and ink with the times when". So, any art form must is in constant development, today’s landscape painting should not only learn the Dunhuang frescoes in the "tree" of the other, but also to the absorption of foreign art and other sister arts forms of nutrition, the only way we landscape painting and painting creation to develop, to "followed the age".
