Through Mr. Knightley’s guide, she discarded illusion, andrenewed herself,becoming a sensible, fair woman with universal love.The thesis analyses Emma’s redemption during growth in prospective ofInitiation story, and discuss Austen’s moral value and its validity on the basis of themiddle class morality in18-19century.
