From the date of birth, movie and railway have forged a bond, in1895, Lumiere Brothers’"Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat" proclaimed the birth of film to the world. A train "roaring" from the screen rewritten the history of visual images, which also inadvertently launched the railway (train) journey on the screen. Since then, the image of railway (train) has been accompanied by the Chinese-language film through its "past generation and this life." Railroad, the image, brings the unlimited imagination to filmmakers, containing the special meaning and even metaphors conveyed from the filmmakers, who have never tired of the interpretation, and bring the value of research meanwhile.The paper locates the study in the Chinese-language film, analyzing the railway (train) element and its modernity based on the cultural study method, analysis its deep meaning behind it, and then dig out the special meaning that the movie creators want to express. The paper is divided into six chapters, the chapter I (introduction) focuses on the background theory, the significance of the study, the currenty situation of the stady and the method of study. The chapter II describes and defines the important concepts of the paper and reveals their mutual relationship. Main content of Chapter III, Chapter IV, Chapter V analyze and research the selected film text through specific study methods. Chapter VI is the conclusion part of the paper, which is to summary the image of Railway (train) appeared in the films.
