Field Investigation Into Film Screening In Hunan Rural Areas

Film, as a form of entertainment, is kind of mental food for civilians to meet their spiritual needs in daily life. While as an important propaganda, it is also a good way to serve for the government. Considering its importance, the Competent Administrative Department of Films under the State Council has introduced a series of policies to promote the mechanism reform and development of Chinese movie industry, one of which is the film screening project in rural areas. This project, acting as a culture feast, attracts great interest and benefits civilians a lot. Therefore, we hope to find a good way to expand our movie industry and develop larger market for movies. Researching on Ping Jiang County, Yu yang City, Hu Nan Province, this paper tries to present the reality of movie market in counties and the current situation of film screening in rural areas, to offer some help for the development of film screening project.This paper consists of four chapters, the former three chapters are mainly about the investigation of film screening in rural villages of Ping Jiang County, while the rest are the countermeasures and suggestions according to the problems found in the investigation. The introduction, including the research object, contains and methods, etc. Chapter One, the development and changes of the film screening in Ping Jiang County, the basic background of Ping Jiang. Chapter Two, the situation of film screening in rural counties of Ping Jing. This chapter focuses on the surroundings and counteractions of Ping Jiang County, facing those benefiting projects of film screening in rural areas by the government.The features and advantages of Ping Jiang in film screening project, analyzed from the government and workers’ point of view, the policy and management system, the developing of advertising market, the film system and so on. Chapter Three, the investigation of film screening mechanism in rural counties of Ping Jiang. Aspects are the management organization, screening machine and technology, personnel building, film distribution, copy, film promotion, film spreading, etc. Chapter Four, the revelation of Ping Jiang rural film of the survey in Hunan Province.including two aspectscurrent:current problems, Shortage in Ping Jiang’s film screening in rural areas; measures and suggestions from several aspects like films’ position in culture field, industry and modern enterprising management, government policy and so on.
