With the rapid expansion of industrialization and urbanization. China have entered into the most active period of migrant population. Population mobility have become a prominent feature about transition of economy, society and population. The large floating population provides abundant human labor resources for industrial development and urban construction. Their contribution to economic and social development is increasingly recognized by the whole society. However, by rural and urban economic and social system constraints, which rely on the household registration system, the management and services of migrant population have not included in the urban management system. The migrant population is difficult to enjoy equivalent basic public services with the household population.Hangzhou has done a lot of tentative explorations in the equalization of basic public services of migrant population. Here a review and summary is made to point out the achievements and shortcomings so as to improve the management of migrant population, further promote the equalization of basic public services of migrant population and strengthen the service-oriented government.In this paper, combined by the existed studies and practical experiences on the equalization of basic public services of migrant population, the equalization of basic public services of migrant population in Hangzhou is studied. Analyzing the primary data from questionnaire survey, we know the achievements, shortcomings and reasons of the equalization of basic public services of migrant population in Hangzhou. Accordingly, we propose corresponding recommendations for improvement.
