The Ancient nomadic culture is a unique Prairie Culture, and there is an intensified research on the Ancient nomads culture in and abroad. Most of the Ancient nomads culture originates from the arid and semi-arid regions. Compared with the agriculture remains, being effected by the area and environment, the ancient nomadic cultural remains present different characteristics and the regulars in remains distribution. It is the regional and environmental elements that affect the Ancient nomads culture, which makes the geographic information system can assist the ancient archaeological research of the nomadic culture.This paper chooses a large ancient nomadic culture sites—Hongshankou-Shirenzigou Sites as an example, and makes the archaeological investigation data of the sites and the related results of area digital aerial photo gram metry as the foundation. It will make a research and study in the living dwelling sites remains and stone pathpace by the methods of geographic information system as well as related analysis in the micro perspective.The results of the study show that the distribution of address is linked closely with many Geographical factors in this sites area, and this present a certain tendency and regular. On the bases of the tendency and regular, the paper has constructed a theory model in the position selection of the address for ancient nomads nation, then maked the address locational prediction in the surrounding area of this sites, and achieved good results. Meanwhile it uses viewshed and Line of Sight to prove the stone pathpace not only have the functions of living and sacrificing, also some certain functions about military defense.
